Jewelry design with computer 2 is the second volume and is the subsidiary of the first one. After valuable experiences I gained from writing the first book I decided to write a second one.First and second book’s collections are more than 700 pages which are the result of 10 year experience in this profession. I hope my friends and other tutors try and publish other books on jewelry design so we can see more improvement in this industry in the country.

In jewelry design with computer volume 2 which has been written based on matrix 8th version software there will be reviews on rhino5 and matrix 7.5 and 8 in the first chapter. In the second chapter which is about 220 pages there are practices and step by step examples just like jewelry design with computer that is full of technical tips, jewelry making techniques and setting that not following them could cause issues during and after production. Try to follow all the technical tips in this book while you’re designing. In the 3rd chapter there is an introduction on Tsplines which explained the plugin in 70 pages. T.splines doesn’t have many tools or commands the most important thing to remember is practice and experience. The more time you spend on it the easier designing with it will be.

In the 4th chapter, about 35 pages are dedicated to rendering and Vray that in these pages important tips and techniques for a more professional” rendering” and “photo realistic” are mentioned. Although the first book had plenty of explanation on rendering from beginner to intermediate level, there are a lot of good sources on the net about rendering. You can even find professional designers with years of experience that have issues while rendering. Many don’t even work with Vray section in matrix and have no intention in changing their traditional thought process! Dear friends and colleagues in new era and these days’ technology and science are improving really fast, fear, bias and conservative thinking about change and learning would hold you back!  The key to success and improvement in all professions is not being afraid of change and being up to date. In the fifth chapter there is an introduction on setting , the 5 ways of setting in book one are repeated so they are easily accessed, also 2 new ways “invisible flower” and “invisible setting”, how to custom build stones with custom gem builder and chocker board or rose cut are thought too.

In the last chapter of jewelry design with computer volume 2 about 40 pages are dedicated to illustrated dictionary on common jewelry terms. In this section gemology terms such as colorful stones and diamonds are mentioned. In addition to this important and impressive styles in designing and producing accessories such as “Art Deco-Art Nouveau” are mentioned briefly. This section is recommended to those who want to work for foreign companies or immigrate. Once you learn the terms and definitions in English you’ll have an endless online source and van easily find everything that you look for on the internet. Rhythm and speed of teaching is faster in this book so it prevents unnecessary or repetitive materials those who seek to learn this book should first study and master book 1.

Last thing: let’s try and be satisfied with what’s ours and respect others. Don’t define respect as letting a person walk first while we enter somewhere. Let’s respect an artist’s time and mind that s/he has spent on creating a piece and don’t rub him by stealing his thoughts and creativity. Nowadays stealing is not specified to burglary. Stealing one’s thoughts, creativity would do him or her more harm. While you’re designing change the ordered work (if it’s copying) by 30 % so you fall under copyright rules. By doing this in addition to changing a pattern constantly you’ll have a decent and different design. Respect others’ rights and don’t take their rights.
